Ernest Hemingway once said,

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”

Then he probably downed his 7th daiquiri of the day.

Making writing seem hardcore is a total Writer move.

But there is something to be said for sitting down and bleeding it out, even when inspiration doesn’t strike.

I personally don’t like daiquiris.

But I can tolerate a good deal of bleeding of the fake, Writer variety.

Some other things about me:

  • As a former logistics sales rep I know how to be responsive and manage my time effectively.

  • Speaking of time, I am fascinated by it - how we perceive it, how it influences us, how we change over time. Love a good time-travel story done right a la Dark.

  • I was once an expat vagabond who lived and worked in Spain. But don’t worry! I have not “lost touch with the soil,” “become precious,” or been ruined by “fake European standards” (Hemingway, again). I did however gain some great stories and a love of olive oil.

  • What makes me perfect for the ad industry? A stubborn streak of non-conformity, and delusional confidence borne from winning short story and poetry contests as a kid. Don’t believe me? I will send you pictures of my poetry awards and then you’ll be sorry.
